Stage 6

Stage 6 involves suspension. I have ordered a front end rebuild kit with all Moog parts and Spohn tie rod sleeves.  The kit supplied me with the center link, drag link, all ball joints, inner and outer tie rods and the sleeves. Good kit. Really happy with it.

I still need to clean and rebuild the quick ratio steering box, but the majority of the parts are on the front.

You can also see my tubular upper A arms that I purchased from www.gbodyparts.com. Brian is a great guy and very helpful. He has quite a few parts for our G body cars. Anyways, these tubular A arms are awesome. Lighter than stock stamped arms.

On the rear, I have gone with Spohns upper and lower control arms, non adjustable. I really like the quality of them. You can also see the painted underside of the car really well in this picture.

Man that looks awesome. Even if I do say so myself. It has come a long way since this..

That brings us up to date on the rebuild. I havent even owned the car 2 years now, but it has come a long way. Unfortunately, the exterior of the car was supposed to get painted this spring, but due to unforseen circumstances, I have to wait til the car goes back into storage in the fall. I am hoping that things work out, but for right now, it is going to be keeping the paint it has. Not that the paint on it is bad. Some wet sanding and buffing and it should look better than ever.

I also got the front wheel bearings and rotors done. Yes, the rotors look like crap. One swipe from the brakes and they will look normal again.

Late night thrash session....
