Now that the motor and tranny is sitting in the car, I need to think about exhaust. The following pictures are to show alignment of the header collectors in relation to the tranny crossmember.
This first picture shows the centerline of the car, from the rear differential to the tailshaft of the transmission and the location of the header collectors in relation to the centerline and crossmember. This is with the Iceman old style crossmember and Headman headers.
In this picture you can see that the drivers side header collector is aligned dead on for the notch in the crossmember.
The passenger one is angled toward the outer passenger side of the car.
This is a front to back view of the underside from in front of the car, and you can see the passenger side header angle (left side).
And finally, here you see the difference in collector length.
I am getting my exhaust from Torque Tech (http://www.torquetechexh.com/) and am going with a 3 inch exhaust system, x pipe and tailpipes exiting behind both rear tires 442 style. Should be sweet.
